Angela Davis, speaking at Western Washington University, talks about the structural injustices of the prison industrial complex, the veiled racism of society and criminal justice, and the need to discard imprisonment as the main mode of punishment in the US. When considering fear, she asks why are we not fearful of privatized healthcare, multinationals that profit form imprisonment and the flaws of the military and capitalism.
